The holidays are pretty much upon us and I’m guessing you are hustling to get everything done so you can take some time off, amiright?
I'm definitely in full-on holiday hustle mode. We leave for Canada today (our first Christmas at home in 3 years!!) and although I'm packing my computer and will work a bit while we’re home, I also plan on spending a good chunk of time unplugged, hanging out with loved ones and enjoying the holiday season :)
Unplug for the holidays but don't let your social channels go dark
As I found out when I took time off to celebrate my wedding, letting my Facebook Page go dark for 2 weeks creates a big ol' hole to dig out of when I get back thanks to the algorithm. (Which is why I LOVE batch writing & scheduling using the 4 Pillars so much.)
However, when I'm prepping for vacation and am crunched for time, client work and content creation come first and I often don’t get to my own social batching!
So I’m making it super easy on myself (and you!) and tackling just a few posts a day for the next 5 days so I can head into the holidays with my social media set 'til I'm back in the new year.
Write your holiday social media in just 5 minutes a day for 5 days
I've put together a series of 5 emails with 3 quick & easy social media post prompts in each to help you just get.it.done. The prompts are a mix of evergreen and holiday-themed content.
And it's my gift to you! (Sign up here to join us.)
Two examples of the prompts:
Are you travelling anywhere for the holidays? Share your plans or who you’ll be spending the holidays with.
What’s one little tip or piece of advice you could share that’s less than 100 words? Think about something you find yourself telling clients again and again.
Set aside 5-10 minutes a day for the next 5 days and you'll have enough content written and scheduled for the rest of 2014 — no more holiday social media panic or neglect.
